Will You Cry Out?

There’s no secret of everything that’s happening in the world today. So many lost, broken and searching. As believers we have our personal issues, challenges and struggles, but there are many around us who are in similar or worse situations or conditions than ourselves. Will we cry out on their behalf? Oh sad it is for anyone that can do something, to put a blind eye or express a don’t care reaction towards the lost and suffering. It’s not about seeking to be seen or to be applauded, but even if what we can do is behind closed doors where no person knows, sees or hears, God knows, sees and hears. Nothing passes his knowledge and awareness. He is aware of everything and anything.

We all can do something. It may not be in the way someone else does it, but we all can at least pray and reach out in some small way. As many bible readers know, Jeremiah cried out on behalf of all the people in his time. His desire was that they repent and turn away from their wicked ways and turn to God. We see a lot of things that happened in bible times now happening now. Yes, there’s hope in it because of all that Christ has done, but the truth is that as time continues bible prophecy will unfold. As children of God and followers of Jesus Christ who will cry out?

Some may wonder why cry out if it’s just going to get worse? Does God really hear the cries of his people? Here’s what the bible says about crying out.

“Go and cry in the ears of Jerusalem, saying, Thus saith the Lord; I remember thee, the kindness of thy youth, the love of thine espousal’s, when thou wentest after me in the wilderness in a land that was not sown.” (Jeremiah 2:2)

“O Lord my God, I cried unto thee and thou has healed me.”(Psalm 30:2)

“I will cry unto God most high; unto God that performeth all things for me.”(Psalm 57:2)

Our cry may or could be a cry of repentance, help, mercy, guidance, uprightness for ourselves and on behalf of others. Again I ask, will you cry out?

Who will cry out on behalf of the unbelievers and the deceived?

Who will cry out on behalf of those who are physically, mentally, emotionally, psychologically and spiritual ill?

Who will cry out on behalf of those who find themselves homeless, poor, deprived and impoverished?

Who will cry out on behalf of those who are troubled, confused and wandering and heading in the destructive path?

Who will cry out on behalf of those who are persecuted, tortured and maliciously abused?

Who will? Will you and I?

  1. Hi Crystal and thanks so much for these timely thoughts. With the news of what has happened in South Carolina, we all need to wake up and realize that it is up to us to cry out against evil whenever and wherever we encounter it. If we don’t speak out, it’s the same as condoning it. Silence is consent…
