Many people say “I love you” or “I love this”, but what is love? Is love a feeling, action or is it both? There are many people that want to experience real love. The true source of love flows from God. God is love! God’s love for you never runs out, it flows over and over and never stopping for rest. That’s an amazing pouring and overflowing love. I want to have many encounters of powerful love and feel it overflowing and share it and spread it on and on.
Have you ever listened to a song and each time you listened you want to hear it more and more? It’s like you could sit there for hours and listen to that ONE song and do nothing else. The words are deeply sinking within and the tune will continually nod your head. Well I have and I’m sure many more too. Music is relaxing to the mind and is therapy that speaks to the soul. Many people like to listen to music they can relate to. What kind of music do you enjoy listening to? Having a music party with a marathon of songs is a great way to relax and have fun. What do you love about music?
Inspiration is everywhere. From the simplistic image that springs up a question about life to the positive action of a good deed that sparks the dream within. The inspiration we embrace often motivates and encourages us to go forward. Who inspires you? What causes you to stop and think? How do you respond to those moments of inspiration? The stimulation requires action in order to be effective. We all can inspire one another. All it takes is a choice of operation to encourage and make a difference on purpose. What is sparking on the inside of you?
My childhood memories of playing truth, dare, double dare, promise to repeat are ringing in my ear. The laughter and fun it brought was something brightly enjoyed. Am I daring myself? or Am I shrinking back in fear? In the midst of all that’s going on, I’m choosing to dare. I’m daring myself to….
Completely love the woman that I’ve become and the woman that I’m becoming. The stages of life are teachers in an outside classroom with many lessons to learn. My 20s have been an interesting journey and now that I’m in my late twenties I see the growth, but at the same time I’m reminded that I still have a long way to go.
Believe in spite of what I see and feel. Sometimes the circumstances seem like heavy weights trying to shatter me into pieces. Doubts try to threaten that it’s all a waste of time and useless.
To keep going on…
To live courageously, to really LIVE!!!
What will you dare yourself to do?
It’s nothing like happiness. On a difficult day it cheers us up. When everything seems to go wrong, it’s like medicine that pours within.
God’s unconditional love and faithfulness. Only He can do it like He does!
Music speaks to my heart and soul. It’s like a symphony marching within.
An inspirational book that speaks to my heart. It’s like the words that soak into my soul.
Peace and joy that brings stillness and quiets my mind. The joy that overflows like rushing water.
Simplicity that brings enjoyment and insight to life around us.
What makes you happy? It’s okay to indulge in it deeply. Take time out to be happy! 🙂
Psalms 94: 2 “For you, O Lord, have made my heart glad by what you have done, I will sing for joy at the works of your hand.”
The moments and experiences in our lives are all apart of our journey of growth and development. Below are 10 things you may not not know(or maybe you do 🙂 ) about me.
1) My middle name ‘Helena’ is named after my great grandmother’s first name(on my mother’s side). Never got to meet her, but I heard she was a good woman.
2) When I was a little girl, I met and took a picture with actress Victoria Rowell. My mom had taken me in Victoria Park in my Sunday dress after church. My mother told me she said my dress is pretty. Wish we got the picture the photographer took of us.
3) I was born with fluid in my lungs.
4) I ate Ovaltine out of the jar as a kid and was very addicted to it. 🙂
5) My first trip was to Boston at the age of 5 years old.
6) When I was toddler I wandered of somewhere and got lost in the hospital. Curious me went on an elevator and ended up in the basement. Thank God my dad found me safe. To this day, I never really like going on elevators.
7) For a period of time during my late teens, I didn’t eat beef or pork. I attempted to change my eating habits.
8) When writing on paper or in a notebook, I only comfortably write when the paper or book is slanted. That’s how my lefty works.
9) I’m allergic to penicillin. So glad my parents found that out early.
10) I have a minor in Early Childhood Education.
What are ten things that you can think about yourself? Why not take the time to think about it and thank God for how he has kept you and the work He is doing in your life?
We all have creativity within. God who is our Creator is a creative God with a creative people. Our art has to be tapped into in order to experience growth in many areas of life. James Russell Lowell quoted “Creativity is not the finding of a thing, but the making something out of it after it is found.”
There are many activities that kids and adults can explore. Scrap-booking, writing, music, dance, cooking, baking, jewelry making and many more ways of taking that route. You don’t have to be highly skilled at these to do them. They can be done just for fun and leisure. Although making something is one way to express creativity, it is not limited to that. Someone once asked me the question, “Can it be the way you engage with people too?”
To take anything to the next level, it must be practiced regularly. There may be a local community center or group that you can join where you’ll meet others in that particular interest. Maybe you can possibly work along with them in developing art? While on that adventure you may want to try new activities to know which one(s) you may be interested in and would enjoy the most. Often times we have to be willing to bring out what God has placed within us.
Artistic efforts are great stress breakers. Painting and other activities alike are very therapeutic. Some may say, “I’m not good enough to even dabble in artsy stuff and I make too many mistakes?” We all make mistakes, even the most talented make mistakes in what they do. Great things can be made out of mistakes and whether they are huge or small. Scott Adams quoted “Creativity is allowing yourself to make mistakes. Art is knowing which ones to keep.”
God who made the heavens, earth and everything that’s in it, has placed something special in each and everyone of us.
We have something to make, something to create and something to share.
Hello world! I’m back at blogging and I’m looking forward to the adventure ahead. WOW! It’s been so long since I’ve posted a personal blog. I feel like a newbie all over again. 🙂 Until next time…see over at the next post. Below is an inspirational video to encourage someone out there. Remember no matter how challenging things may seem…don’t give in and don’t give up. Keep pushing and pressing!
Galatians 6: 9 “And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.”
It’s only when we don’t give up, we will see the promises of God fulfilled in our lives. Praise Him through everything! Thank you Jesus!
